Jeffrey Zgoda, NRP, CIC
Jeff is the founder of 9-Echo-1 Training and serves as the lead instructor for 9-Echo-1 Training Classes. Jeff has been working in EMS in the Western New York area since 2012. Starting off as an EMT-B and working his way up to Paramedic, he has worked for multiple agencies and in different fields. Jeff is also currently employed as a paramedic instructor, and has been teaching since 2018. Jeff is a volunteer firefighter, serving as assistant chief and is employed as a full-time paramedic. In his off time, Jeff loves to play with his dog Ember, and enjoys spending time with his family.

Michael Hyde, PA-C, NRP, CIC
Mike has been working in emergency medicine in the Western New York area since the 1990's. Initially working for multiple ambulance agencies in the City of Buffalo and surrounding suburbs, Mike decided to further his education and obtain his physician assistant degree. Mike has been working as a physician assistant specializing in emergency medicine since 1996. Mike is currently a paramedic instructor and has been instructing paramedic education since the early 2000s. Mike has also been a volunteer firefighter since he was 18, and is currently serving as department chief. In his off time, Mike enjoys the outdoors, spending time with his family, and traveling.

Andrew Poreda M.D. FACEP, FAAEM
Dr. Poreda has been involved in prehospital care for over 20 years, beginning in the volunteer fire service and as a professional EMT. Dr. Poreda is certified in various technical rescue disciplines in addition to firefighting, including Swift Water, Ice, Confined Space, and High Angle Rope Rescue. Dr. Poreda completed medical school at SUNY Upstate in Syracuse, NY. He stayed in Syracuse where he completed his residency in Emergency Medicine. While in residency, Dr Poreda authored a textbook chapter for physicians on Firefighter Health and Safety. After residency, Dr. Poreda began working in numerous ERs in the WNY region. He currently is serving as an Emergency Room Attending Physician at Buffalo General Medical Center. In 2020, Dr Poreda went back to school and completed an EMS fellowship. Throughout his career, Dr. Poreda remained active with the volunteer fire service. In his off time, Dr. Poreda enjoys spending time with his family and working out.

Allen McClenathan, AEMT-P, CLI
Allen has been incorporated into emergency services since 2012. Allen has worked for multiple EMS agencies in the Western New York area as a basic EMT and as a paramedic. Allen has been an instructor since 2018 and has taught at multiple levels. Allen has been a volunteer firefighter since 2012 and is currently employed as a paramedic. In his off time, Allen enjoys camping, working out, and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Andrew has been an instructor with 9-Echo-1 training since early 2020. Andrew has been a volunteer firefighter since 2016 and is currently serving as a captain. In his off time, Andrew can be found spending time with his friends, traveling, and learning about aviation.
